Homemade Facial Cleanser

I have seen a few ideas floating around pinterest…. here goes.

Ingredients:

1/2 cup liquid castle soap (Dr. Bronner’s is a great choice)

1/2 cup rose water (or distilled water)

1 1/2 tsp of grapeseed oil, avocado oil, sweet almond oil, or olive oil

1o drops of essential oil (I used rose hip seed oil)

Mix ingredients wells and pour into a small squirt bottle or pump bottle.  Label your bottle.  This makes about 8 ounces.  Follow with your typical toner and/or moisturizing routine.

Other Uses

Can be used as a makeup remover! Avoid getting in your eyes.

Change up the recipe a little~ be creative.  You can mix up similar versions of this, diluting it more if you like, and use as a body wash.

Notes

Castile soap can be purchased online or at most health food stores.  I buy mine at the local health food store.

Use caution when using essential oils.  If you are pregnant or nursing always check with your healthcare provider.

  1. Is there a way to thicken this facial cleanser up into more of a cream? I love the cleanser; however it’s really runny, so I end up using more than I normally would need to.
