The 4th of July is tomorrow and I wanted to make something extra special. Homemade cantaloupe ice cream is so yummy! I remember the first time I tried it… Honeymoon Island, Dunedin Beach, Florida 2 years ago. My life was changed for the better! Cantaloupe Ice Cream is an all time favorite for my family. We hope you enjoy it too.
Recipe for a 2 quart Ice Cream Maker.
2 cups Heavy Whipping Cream
1/2 cup whole milk
1 cup diced fresh cantaloupe
1 1/2 cups Sugar
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
Blender to puree cantaloupe
Put the cantaloupe and cream in blender and blend until the cantaloupe is smooth. Add in milk, sugar, and vanilla and pulse until combined. Add to Ice Cream maker and set your timer!
Mine is finished in about 25 minutes.
